A Story of Stillness You’ll Never Forget
I love stillness.
To sit.
To observe.
To listen.
To be conscious.
To love it all.
I can slow time and enjoy sunsets.
I am able to rest in the still morning and enjoy the coffee brought to my bed.
I am still kind,
still curious,
still strong.
But I know a girl who stayed so still.
She became bitter and lonely.
She still complains.
She still blames.
She still competes.
She’s still afraid.
She’s still a girl.
My stillness helped me grow.
I am no longer the girl.
She still hates.
I am a woman.
She refuses to acknowledge.
So be careful with your stillness.
If you stay as still as you have always been,
you will stay as still as you always were.
And never grow.
Nothing ever interrupts your growth.
The journey is your growth.
Don’t be scared.
