Who are you really if you have to monitor yourself to feel accepted?
Flowing in life but running through a sieve as you go, acting out the motions.
Hiding in a costume in order to be able to feel free, in order to act silly without being judged, because you’re really too scared to show who you really are.
What’s the point of all your success without experience?
Working hard, only focused on proving your worth through savants.
All this intelligence with no character.
All this time spent, but not really doing much other than sitting from afar, observing and scrutinizing the world around you.
What good are your credentials if you are restricted from using them? What good are your accomplishments when you have ethical blind spots?
In a world of rushing and scrolling life away, posting external achievements to feel substance, living in a virtual box of reality, and providing constant evidence of your worth.
Remember to go slow and walk your own journey, dear child. One step at a time still gets you where you need to be. You don’t need to fulfill someone else’s paradigms.
You can shine on stage being exactly who you are, maskless and free. You can cheer and shout from the top of your lungs. Be playful, get dirty, and display all the vibrant colors proudly.
You can have your hair down wild and eat the food that makes you feel nourished, and experience a real life, making mistakes, learning, growing, and enjoying what interests you.
At the end of the night, I will hold you.
My sweet daughter,
I will love you without prerequisites.
I am always rooting for you.
You don’t need to prove yourself or your love for me.
You are already full of love and joy and perfect as you are.
Smile.
And be kind, and life will get you where you need to be.
